1. Gonzaga (21-2)

Close call at San Diego, but No. 6 Zags are the first team to 21 wins this season, should roll again this week

2. Arizona (19-2)

Swept its road swing through Washington, now braces for visits from the Bay Area schools while brimming with confidence

3. Oregon (18-4)

That nine-game winning streak was abruptly halted in 76-52 loss at Stanford, but Ducks still appear to be Pac-12’s second-best team

4. Saint Mary’s (19-4)

Gaels are flying under the radar a little bit as scheduled has lightened, but Thursday’s game at Santa Clara, Saturday’s game at San Diego could test them

5. New Mexico (19-3)

After laying that 34-point egg at SDSU, Lobos bounced back well with wins over Wyoming, Nevada, and are MWC’s most consistent team

6. UCLA (16-6)

Overtime loss at rival USC, their third loss in four games, has the Bruins reeling a bit, but look for a sweep of Washington schools this week

7. Colorado State (18-4)

Defeated Wyoming and Boise State by a combined 39 points, is arguably the hottest team in the Mountain West Conference right now

8. San Diego State (16-5)

Just when you think the Aztecs have turned the corner, they go to Air Force and lose again. Just like last year

9. UNLV (17-5)

Rebels’ loss at much-improved Boise State wasn’t all that surprising, but Broncos’ fans rushed the court anyway

10. Arizona State (17-5)

Freshman Jahii Carson emerging as one of the nation’s most exciting players, Sun Devils’ one of country’s most entertaining teams
