The Utah men's basketball team will make history Sunday night when it faces Stanford at the Huntsman Center.

It will be the first home game on a Sunday in school history, and a second conference win for the Utes will be at stake.

But the Utes may have to go at it less than full strength.

Freshman Jordan Loveridge is considered a game-time decision with a possible concussion sustained Thursday night against California, when he tried to retrieve a rebound on a free throw and hit his head on a fall.

Loveridge, one of the top rookies in the Pac-12 Conference, has started every game this season and is among the team leaders in minutes played.

"We have to know that he's going to be OK," Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "We aren't going to put him in harm's way."

Utah senior guard Jarred DuBois didn't start and played just nine minutes in the second half in the loss to Cal. He practiced Friday and Saturday with the first team and is expected to start and play a full complement of minutes alongside Glen Dean and Brandon Taylor.

Krystkowiak said defending and running a crisp offense will be a priority. Utah enters the matchup with a 1-6 conference mark and is 9-10 overall. The Cardinal have struggled this season, but Stanford boasts one of the best backcourts in the league with Dwight Powell and Josh Huestis.

"They are very talented as a team," Krystkowiak said. "They have a lot of weapons and a lot of ways to hurt you. We have to play well in order to have a chance to win."
