Best bets for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival for Thursday, Jan. 24:

"Toy's House"

3 p.m. • Eccles Theatre, Park City

Three high-school boys decide to withdraw from the world and build their own house in the woods, in this funny and engaging comedy.

"Escape From Tomorrow"

5:30 p.m. • Library Center Theatre, Park City

This surreal drama is getting talked about at Sundance because of how it was made: Filmed surreptitiously at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, without permission.

"Fruitvale"

6:30 p.m. • Eccles Theatre, Park City

The last 24 hours in the life of Oscar Julius Grant III, the 22-year-old killed on a BART train platform in an incident that set off protests and riots, are chronicled in this moving drama.
