Real Salt Lake unveils 2013 schedule

Major League Soccer just released its schedule for the upcoming season. Here is Real Salt Lake’s schedule for the year (all times are Mountain), and a few first impressions:

•Real Salt Lake plays five of its first seven matches away from Utah.

• Los Angeles, San Jose and Seattle each make two trips to Rio Tinto this season. RSL has to play those teams just one time apiece on the road.

• On the other side of that coin, RSL plays twice in Portland, Dallas and Denver.

• Real visits the Great White North, where it is 0-forever, four times: Vancouver (April 13, Sept. 28), Montreal (May 11), Toronto (June 29).

• Jamison Olave and Fabian Espindola won’t have Rio Tinto homecomings, at least not in the regular season. RSL’s lone game against Red Bulls is July 27 in New York.

• Will Johnson, however, comes back to Salt Lake on Aug. 21.
