Bank of Utah volunteers delivered barrels full of coats, blankets and other warm items Wednesday to the Crossroads Urban Center Thrift Store, 1385 W. Indiana Avenue (850 South).

The donations to the free/low-cost store for the needy and to seven other charities were made by customers and employees during the bank's "Warm Bodies, Warm Souls" drive, which included $1,000 in cash for Crossroads.

The other charities are Lantern House in Ogden, the Erin Kimball Foundation in St. George, Bountiful Community Food Pantry, the Tremonton Community Pantry, the Cache Food Pantry, New Hope Crisis Center in Brigham City and the Community Action Services and Food Bank in Orem.

"We are so pleased with the response to our warm-clothing drive and are very grateful to the community for supporting us in this effort," said Scott. Parkinson, senior vice president of marketing and communications for Bank of Utah.
