The college football postseason gets under way this weekend with a game of local interest — Utah State vs. Toledo in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (Saturday, 2:30 p.m., ESPN).

At 10-2, the Aggies are already the winningest team in USU history. But for a two-point loss at Wisconsin and a three-point loss at BYU, Utah State would be undefeated.

Another win would give the WAC champions a chance to climb in the rankings — they’re currently No. 18 in the AP poll; No. 20 in the USA Today poll; and No. 22 in the BCS standings.

Toledo (9-3) finished tied for second in the MAC’s West Division. The Rockets beat Cincinnati; took Arizona to overtime on the road before losing; and also lost to Ball State and Northern Illinois.
