Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Bountiful City Council » Will consider the appointment of a city manager; Tuesday, Dec. 11, 7 p.m., 790 S. 100 East, Bountiful. View the Bountiful agenda.

Clearfield City Council » Will hold a public hearing on amendments to the land use ordinance that would establish a new mixed use zoning district; Tuesday, Dec. 11, 7 p.m., 55 S. State St., Clearfield. View the Clearfield agenda.

Holladay Planning Commission • Will hold a public hearing to consider and possibly vote on amending the RM residential zone to allow a 120-unit assisted living facility at 5600 S. Holladay City Council • Will consider adopting new noise ordinance, will also consider zone change from multi-family residential to neighborhood commercial for property at 2110 E. Midvale City Council • Will consider the purchase and leasing back of the South Valley Boys and Girls Club property at 7631 S. Chapel St., will also consider the sale and subsequent lease of City Hall at 655 W. Center St. in preparation for new city hall construction; Tuesday, Dec. 11, 7 p.m., City Hall, 655 W. Midvale Planning Commission • Will hold public hearings on adding a public facilities overlay zone at 7510 S. Main St., and small-scale master plans and preliminary site plans for an office building at 7298 Bingham Junction Blvd. and a regional insurance center at 841 W. South Jordan Planning Commission • Will hold public hearings and possibly vote on a Daybreak subdivision amendment for Holmes Homes, Daybreak Village 4 at 10535 S, 4790 West, West River Estates Phases 4 and 5 at 9801 S. Jordan Ridge Rd., and Riverpark Professional Services Plaza at 10995 S. River Front Parkway; Tuesday, Dec. 11, 6:30 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, 1600 W. Towne Center Dr., South Jordan.
