Marvin Williams was upgraded to a gametime decision Wednesday for the 7 p.m. game against the Orlando Magic after he did not experience headaches following Tuesday's practice.
"I'm doing much, much better," the Jazz's starting small forward said.
Williams has missed three games since suffering concussion-like symptoms after hitting his head on the court in New Orleans a week ago.
"If I go back out there today," he said. "I definitely won't be tentative about getting in to the paint and mixing it up. If our doctors clear me, I'm more than confident when I get out there."
While Williams has been eased back into action, third-year forward Derrick Favors remains sidelined with plantar fasciitis in his right foot. His days consist of icing the foot and other methods of treatment that he said he doesn't know the names of.
"It's boring," he said.
However, the defensive presence is hopeful to resume basketball activities by Friday. He has not played since being pulled from the game Nov. 30 at Oklahoma City.
"The soreness went away," he said. "The swelling is going down so it's starting to feel better."
