US Synthetic and its employees donated $20,000 to the Utah Food Bank and gave more than 1,500 hours of service to the United Way Day of Caring during a company-sponsored month of community service in November.

More than 800 employees of the Orem-based maker of industrial diamond drill cutters raised more than $10,000 for the food bank. US Synthetic contributed the balance of the donation, which will provide over 65,000 meals.

More than 400 volunteers also took part in the Utah County chapter of United Way's Day of Caring.

US Synthetic and its employees come together several times a year to raise money and donate service to the local community.
