Utah’s Tuesday forecast calls for cooling, cloudy weather and a growing chance of valley rains and mountain snowfall.
Highs will range into the mid-50s after overnight lows in the upper-30s along the Wasatch Front.
In southern Utah, the forecast is for partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-60s and lows around 40 degrees.
Air quality statewide for Tuesday will be “Green,” or healthy, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality.
The Utah Avalanche Center rates only the mountains of Logan and the Uintas at “moderate” for dangerous snowslide risk, while the rest of the state’s slopes are graded “low” for avalanche risk.
Salt Lake City looked for a high temperature of 54 on Tuesday, up from the 50 forecast for Monday; Ogden expected 51 and 48 degrees, respectively; Provo 46 and 50; Logan 48 and 45; Wendover 60 and 45; Duchesne 48 and 47; Cedar City 58 and 53; St. George 65 and 64; and Moab 56 and 57 degrees.
