A winter weather advisory remained in effect until Monday morning for Utah’s northern mountain ranges as the next winter storm moves into the state.

The storm is expected to bring snow, which may be heavy at times, to the Wasatch and western Uinta mountains starting Sunday evening until about 6 a.m. Monday when the advisory expires, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City. Communities affected by the advisory include Woodruff, Randolph, Alta and Brighton.

Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches were expected at elevations 6,500 feet and above.
