Downtown Alliance wants user-submitted videos centered on 'I Am Downtown'
From now through Dec. 10, the Downtown Alliance will be accepting user-submitted videos centered on the phrase "I Am Downtown" and a filmmaker's interpretation of its definition.
A panel of industry leaders will award a grand prize of $5,000 to the winning submission.
Five finalists, as well as the grand prize video, will be presented during EVE â a three-day downtown event Dec 29, 30 & 31 to celebrate the New Year. The contest will be centered on Facebook, where users can upload films of up to 100 seconds in length.
The only additional guidelines are to be creative and unique in telling an unexpected story centered in the downtown area.
"We have no idea what we will find or what will come of these user-submitted videos. This is the most fun and exciting part," said Jason Mathis, Downtown Alliance Executive Director, in a press release. "Downtown means different things different people."
