Plans for tonight: Getting Fresh at Abravanel

• Heavy-metal band Iwrestledabearonce (yes, all one word) performs at In the Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Vanna, Oceano, The Plot In You, Within The Ruins, Surrounded by Monsters. Show starts at 5:30. Tickets are $16, at Smith's Tix.

• The great 2005 Iranian comed-drama "Offside," in which several Iranian women are arrested for trying to attend a soccer game, screens at the Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City. Presented as part of Westminster College's Ivory Tower Film Series. Show starts at 7. Free.

• Acoustic pop-rock musician Tyler Ward performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Opening act: VanLadyLove. Show starts at 7. The show is sold out.

• Folk/Americana band The Haunted Windchimes and Western singer/songwriter Brenn Hill share the bill at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $12, at the venue's website.
