Tuesday marks the beginning of registration for Utah residents who want to buy individual tickets for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Registration runs Tuesday, Nov. 6, through Dec. 17. Those who sign up will receive a randomly assigned time slot on Jan. 5-6 to purchase individual tickets online — no more lining up at Trolley Square and filling out forms.

Ticket-buyers can pick up their tickets at the box offices — 136 Heber Ave. in Park City; Trolley Square in Salt Lake City; the Sundance Resort on the North Fork of Provo Canyon; at Peery’s Egyptian Theatre, 2415 Washington Blvd., Ogden — on Jan. 12 and 13.

Also on the 12th, tickets for the Best of Fest screenings (set for Jan. 28, free for all Utah residents) and Townie Tuesday (Jan. 22, for Summit County residents only) will be distributed on Jan. 12, while supplies last.

The festival runs Jan 17 to 27 in Park City, and in venues in Salt Lake City, Ogden and the Sundance resort.
