In celebration of Rusted Root’s 20th anniversary, the world-rock band will perform along with Lauren Mann & the Fairly Odd Folk.
In a phone interview, frontman Michael Glabicki said the group has never tired of playing its breakthrough and unlikely 1995 hit “Send Me on My Way.
“It’s fun to play,” he said, adding that the Pennsylvania-born band’s well-known improvisational style ensures that the song is never played the same way twice.
“We were riding a spiritual wave,” he said of Rusted Root’s early success.
The new album “The Movement” is a landmark for the band. “The band is in stride right now,” Glabicki said. “This is Rusted Root at its best. The lyrical matches the rhythmic content.”
