Students who are touched by what a speaker is saying hold up a hand gesture that means "I Love You" as they speak during the "Be The Change" Program, Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Lone Peak High. "Be The Change" helps teachers, parents and students understand how to work as a team to help those who may be struggling by helping others learn to serve instead of judge.
Lone Peak High School students this week are participating in the “Be The Change” program.
The program gets its name from the Gandhi quote: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Faculty and students at Lone Peak High School are trying to implement change in the way they treat others, serve others and judge others. The “Be The Change” program teaches students to understand that every student has challenges to face.
Students spent Thursday and Friday in the school’s gymnasium getting to know their peers better through a series of activities.
