American Fork police arrested a man Wednesday after he attacked a woman in a road rage incident that flipped his car.

The 39-year-old man was driving west on 700 North when a woman pulled in front of him, which aggravated him, and he honked his horn at her, said American Fork police Sgt. Greg Ludlow.

After they exchanged hand gestures, the man pulled up to the woman's driver's side and rammed her vehicle, Ludlow said. This caused the man to lose control of his vehicle and it rolled.

Both people got out of their vehicles and the man went over to the woman and started punching her in her back, Ludlow said.

A passer-by broke up the fight and police arrested the man under suspicion of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless driving and disorderly conduct.

Neither the man nor the woman were seriously injured.
