Granola bars are most people's go-to snack or mini meal when they want something healthy, but some are little more than candy with fancy names. So check out these delicious granola bars that met Good Housekeeping's nutritional criteria and wowed its testers.

Best Breakfast Bars

Requirements: 6 grams or more of protein, 3 grams or more of fiber, no more than 3 grams of saturated fat and at least 170 calories.

Kind Nuts & Spices in Madagascar Vanilla Almond • Testers loved this "natural-tasting" bar with "lots of nuts," although a few felt it was "too sticky" — 210 calories.

ThinkThin Caramel Chocolate-Dipped Mixed Nuts Crunch Bar • "A good combination of chocolate and nuts" best reflects the enthusiastic consensus. But some found the bar "too dry" — 190 calories.

Luna Peanut Honey Pretzel • The "sweet and salty combination" and the "peanut butter flavor" proved irresistible, although a couple of tasters had issues with the pretzels making them thirsty — 190 calories.

Rickland Orchards Toasted Coconut Greek Yogurt Bar • A number of panelists liked the "coconut flavor," and one picked up on the "pineapple taste" from the dried fruit. The yogurt coating got mixed reviews. Some noted an "aftertaste," while others liked the bar's "frosting"— 170 calories.

Best Snack Bars

Requirements: 120 calories or less and no more than 2 grams of saturated fat.

Kellogg's FiberPlus Antioxidants Chocolate Chip • "Lots of chocolate" sums up the praise for this "indulgent" treat that "tastes unhealthy." A few found the bar "a bit too sweet" — 120 calories.

South Beach Diet Snack Bar in Fudgy Chocolate Mint • Tasters agreed this snack reminded them of a Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie, although a few said it was "a little dry" — 100 calories.

Special K Bar Chocolatey Pretzel • Although a number of volunteers noted an "artificial" flavor, overall the "salty-sweet combo" was deemed "soooo good" — 90 calories.

Kashi Dark Chocolate Coconut Layered Granola Bar • Several tasters found his bar "very sweet." But for most, the "full-bodied chocolate taste" was a hit, as was the "real coconut" — 120 calories.
