Utah forecast: How about a delicious autumn mid-week?
Utah's mid-week forecast is one worthy of George Eliot, truly a delicious autumn to wed the soul and send it to flight about the earth seeking successive autumns.
Or, in the more pedestrian assessment of the National Weather Service: northern Utahns can expect highs in the upper-60s Thursday, mirroring Wednesday's forecast. That scenario comes with clear, sunny and periodically gusty days and overnight temperatures in the low-40s.
Summer is making a more stubborn retreat in southern Utah, but fall is gradually winning out. Thursday's highs will be in the upper-80s, down a degree or two from Wednesday's forecast. Again, look for clear, sunny skies and breezes of 10-20 mph in the evenings.
Air quality statewide rates a "Green," or healthy grade from the Utah Division of Air Quality.
Salt Lake City's high temperature Thursday is pegged at 68 degrees, down from Wednesday's forecast of 71; Ogden looks for 64 and 68 degrees, respectively; Provo 69 and 73; Logan 64 and 66; Wendover 65 and 70; Duchesne 64 and 73; Cedar City 78 and 85; Cedar City 78 and 85; St. George 90 and 95; and Moab 81 and 87 degrees.
