Buddhost monk Stuart Davis performs in Utah this weekend
Singer-songwriter Stuart Davis was introduced to Zen Buddhism by his drummer and now is considered a monk by some. He first came to Salt Lake City to learn from his roshi a respected senior teacher. Davis, who now lives in Colorado with his wife and two daughters, said not many Utahns know that many people consider Salt Lake City a "Zen epicenter." Davis is the host of the much-buzzed-about HDNet series "Sex, God, Rock 'n' Roll," which will shoot its third season this fall and its fourth season before he moves to Amsterdam in June. The move will last about a year, he said. "It's such a wonderful planet," Davis said. "There are hundreds of cities in the world I'd like to live."
