Call center seeks to double its local work force, to 1,300
C3/CustomerContactChannels, which has a call center and 600 employees near Salt Lake City International Airport, wants to hire 700 more employees as soon as possible.
To spur people to apply, C3 will pay signing bonuses of up to $300 to anyone hired by Oct. 5, the Plantation, Fla.-based company said Wednesday.
C3 said it needs more employees to support an expected surge later this year of incoming calls from customers of its clients, who include companies in the telecommunications, health care and social commerce industries.
Most jobs are full-time customer service positions, although C3 wants to fill some management positions. The company is looking for applicants with previous call center experience, but will consider candidates with customer-service experience in other industries.
"We are looking for people with patience and enthusiasm. If you think you are that type of person, we have a great opportunity for you at C3," said Rick Ferry, the company's president and chief operating officer.
Customer-service jobs pay at least $10.50 an hour, plus benefits. Bilingual employees will earn $11.50 an hour.
