Utah punter Sean Sellwood had a hell of week, but in a 27-20 loss, you're not going to be a conference player of the week. Then again, if the Utes had played well Sellwood wouldn't have had the opportunity to punt 10 times, including six 50-plus yarders (tying a school record) for a 52.6-yard average (third best in school history).

Regardless, Sellwood will have to settle for a nomination.

As for the actual winners of the weekly acknowledgment, the Pac-12 released those today. Oregon State linebacker D.J. Welch won for defense after recording seven tackles to lead the Beavers over No. 13 Wisconsin, which was limited to 207 yards of total offense. On offense, UCLA's won for the second straight week after rushing for 217 yards on 26 carries as the Bruins upset No. 16 Nebraska. On special teams, the award went to Arizona kicker John Bonano made all three of his field goal attempts and six PATs in the Wildcats' upset of No. 18 Oklahoma State.
