Here’s what’s happening today in pop culture:

• The “Gossip Girl” does something worth gossiping about, as actress Blake Lively and actor Ryan Reynolds (who met filming last year's "Green Lantern") secretly got married over the weekend in South Carolina. [People]

• “The Possession” wins the weekend box-office for the second week in a row, but don’t get too excited — the weekend’s overall numbers were the worst all year. Newcomers “The Words” and “The Cold Light of Day” both tanked. [Box Office Mojo]

• Roger Ebert’s memoir Life Itself will form the basis of a documentary, to be produced by director Martin Scorsese, screenwriter Steven Zaillian (“Schindler’s List”) and Chicago filmmaker Steve James (“Hoop Dreams,” “The Interrupters”). [Chicagoist]
