Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune Sandy's La Caille restaurant has seen its grounds transformed in the last year, thanks to new owners who have invested in a community garden and a replanted vineyard, as well as a new chef, an updated menu and a $250,000 renovation of the kitchen.

In the last year, there have been many changes at La Caille. One is the addition of a vegetable garden that Chef Brandon Howard planted specifically to benefit the Utah Food Bank.

On Sunday, Sept. 23, those efforts will pay off as the Sandy restaurant holds a special harvest party and fundraiser. Guests can wander the grounds at 9565 S. Wasatch Blvd., see the upgrades and enjoy appetizers made with the garden produce.

The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m. and costs $25 per person. All proceeds benefit the Utah Food Bank. To purchase a ticket visit: https://www.utahfoodbank.org/La-Caille
