Sandy — Kyle Beckerman — television star.

This week, the Real Salt Lake captain will train and prepare for Saturday's MLS game against visiting D.C. United — 7 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium — with a film recording his every move.

Well, maybe not every move.

"MLS 36," a 30-minute program created this year by the NBC Sports Network, will eventually follow five MLS players, including Beckerman. An air time has yet to scheduled, but according to RSL, there's a good chance that the network will show it prior to the Sept. 22 game against Portland.

"It's strange, for sure," Beckerman said. "It's cool. I'll try and represent the club the right way. That’s why I agreed to do it. I want to get Real Salt Lake out there."

The series, which follows a MLS player the 36 hours prior to a match, has already highlighted San Jose's Chris Wondolowski and Seattle’s Fredy Montero. D.C. United’s Dwayne De Rosario and Portland’s Darlington Nagbe will also be profiled.
