RSVP: Christian music and blues-rock concerts and motorcycle ride for the arts

Utah Food Bank benefit

A benefit concert of Christian music for the Utah Food Bank will feature touring country gospel artist Genevia Johnson from Louisiana, and local musicians Markilo Allen, a contemporary Christian artist, and Katie Ainge, a Christian pop artist. The Pioneer Valley Chamber Ensemble will also perform.

When • Saturday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m.

Tickets • $15 presale, $20 at the door; SmithTix.com. Also, attendees are asked donate a non perishable item or can of food to the concert.

Shirley Muldowney

Rocky Mountain Raceways and the Utah Animal Adoption Center have joined together to present Shirley Muldowney, an accomplished drag racer who has a great love of animals. The event to raise awareness for the Utah Animal Adoption Center will include a dinner, silent auction, and the Nitro Madness Drag Race, featuring Nostalgia Top Fuel and Funny Cars.

When • Saturday, Aug. 25, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Korene Greenwood

The classical Blues Rock musician will perform on the Wolf Creek Foundation's Music in the Mountains Concert Series. Proceeds from the concert will support deploying airmen and families from Hill Air Force Base, as well as the Ogden Rescue Mission.
