The Sandy Balloon Festival launched Friday morning with the first of two scheduled sunrise launches.

Another launch — weather permitting — is scheduled for 7 a.m. Saturday at Storm Mountain Park, 11400 S. 1000 East. A balloon glow — lighting from within of the inflated balloons on the ground — is set for 8 p.m. Saturday at the South Towne Promenade in front of Sandy City Hall, 173 W. 10000 South, with food vendors and live entertainment.
