People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has responded to the disturbing video of a kitten buried in cement and found outside the Colorado City, Ariz. home of Isaac Wyler, prominent critic of the polygamous sect led by Warren Jeffs. (full story here.)
The national group is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever dropped the animal into a 7-foot-tall pipe on May 31, then allowed the kitten to sink into the wet cement until he was buried up to his face. Despite attempts to free and save him, the cat died of his injuries a few days later.
In a release, PETA officials asked anyone with information about the case to call the organization at 757-622-7382, extension 8037.
