Colorado City, Ariz. • Sheriff's deputies have begun daily patrols in a northern Arizona community with a polygamist enclave.

State Attorney General Tom Horne's office provided funding for law enforcement in Colorado City. The money comes from assets seized in criminal drug prosecutions.

The grant followed an unsuccessful legislative attempt to abolish Colorado City's Marshal's Office and replace it with sheriff's deputies.
