Directions • From Interstate 15, take the 31st Street Ogden exit. Drive east about 1.6 miles and turn north on Washington Boulevard. Travel north until you reach 22nd Street then turn east. Drive about 1 mile. The street ends at the Indian Trail parking area.
The trail takes its name from the secluded valley seen from a viewpoint at the end of the hike. From the trail head, follow the signs for the Indian Trail up the mountain. At .54 miles, you will see a large rock with an arrow pointing toward Hidden Valley. Follow the arrow. You’ll soon start to encounter shade and switchbacks with steep elevation gains. At about 2 miles, the trail narrows into a gully. Keep following the trail until you reach a clearing followed by a large cairn marking the viewpoint. Hidden Valley and Mount Ogden are in front of you. Lesser views of Ogden and the Great Salt Lake are to the west.
