The Salt Lake City-based Parr Brown Gee & Loveless has appointed employment and litigation attorney, Heidi E.C. Leithead, as president of the law firm. Leithead received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Utah and her Juris Doctor from the university's law school in 1987. For the past 25 years, Leithead has built a highly respected employment law practice.

Jennifer Danielson has been appointed to succeed Bob Hatch as president of Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah. In her new position, she oversees more than 500 employees at Regence that serve more than 330,000 members statewide. She becomes the 12th president in the 70-year-history of Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah and the second woman to be named president in a Regence market.

Richter7, a Salt Lake City-based advertising and public relations agency, has hired Mark Bangerter as a senior experiential designer. Prior to joining Richter7, Bangerter worked for multiple companies and gained over seven years of experience as an art director.

Pathway Associates, a Salt Lake City consulting firm providing services to the nonprofit community, has announced that Christine Sharer has joined its team of consultants. Sharer retired in January after 21 years as CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah.

The National Academies of Emergency Dispatch, Salt Lake City, has hired Kristy Broadstone as a member services representative. She previously worked as an emergency medical dispatcher for Rescue Alert, as an in-home medical service tech for Intermountain Healthcare and as a front office manager for Tri-County Veterinary Clinic in Indiana.

Angela E. Atkin has joined the tax section at the Salt Lake City-based law firm of Ray Quinney & Nebeker. Her practice focuses on all aspects of estate, probate and trust matters, including estate planning, estate and trust administration, gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, as well as the formation and ongoing operation of family business entities and tax-exempt corporations. Atkin is a certified public accountant and practiced as an auditor with Grant Thornton, LLP prior to attending law school. She received her law degree from Brigham Young University in 2001.

Park Meadows Country Club has named Kamas resident Eric Karshner its director of marketing and member services. Karshner, 30, has been the Park City-area organization's clubhouse services manager and event coordinator since 2005.

J. Allen Francis, MD, a board-certified family medicine specialist, has joined Layton-based Davis Medical Group. Francis completed a medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine followed by a family medicine residency at Quad City Genesis Family Practice in Davenport, Iowa. He has practiced family medicine in Layton for the last 12 years, most recently with Davis Family Physicians. He is the family practice section chief at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.

MountainStar Healthcare has appointed Mark Meadows as the chief executive officer for its newest hospital, which is under construction in Draper. As vice president of development at MountainStar for more than seven years, Meadows was instrumental in the development of the Lone Peak Medical Campus since the company first acquired the 40-acre property.

Salt Lake City-based C.R. England has announced 10 new additions to its corporate office, including seven senior driver recruiters. The new driver recruiters are Barbara Sederquist, John Nevin, Krystle Copeland, Marcus Afemata, Melanie Martinez, Debi Smith and Brenda Hirschi. Michael Young has been hired to serve as the company's operational safety manager. He previously was a commercial driver. Nicole Green has joined the trucking company as a new hire compliance representative. Kim Cisneros has joined the firm as a new junior driver recruiter.

Charlie Precourt, vice president and general manager of ATK Aerospace Group's Space Launch Division in Utah, has been inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame. Precourt joined ATK Launch Systems in March 2005 as vice president of advanced programs and subsequently strategy and business development. Before coming to ATK, Precourt had a distinguished 15-year career with NASA. Qualified as a space shuttle astronaut in 1991, he is a veteran of four space flights and has logged over 932 hours in space.

Intermountain Healthcare's Charles Sorenson, president and CEO, and Brent James, chief quality officer, have been named among Modern Healthcare's "50 Most Influential Physician Executives in Healthcare." Sorenson and James were both on the list last year.

Holly Mullen has been named executive director of Rape Recovery Center. Mullen, 54, has served as interim director of the non-profit organization since Nov. 1, 2011. She previously served for three years on the center's board of directors. Prior to her appointment at the RRC, Mullen spent more than 30 years as a reporter, editor and columnist at newspapers across the country. She is a former sports editor and news columnist for The Salt Lake Tribune.

The Downtown Alliance in Salt Lake City has named Nick Como its communications director. Como brings over a decade of marketing and public relations experience to the Alliance's staff. He most recently served as the director of marketing and public relations at Solitude Mountain Resort.
