Here's what's happening today in pop culture:

• Like a bad penny that keeps turning up, a "Twilight" movie won the top prize at the MTV Movie Awards. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1" also won for Best Kiss. Meanwhile, "The Hunger Games" took four of the Golden Popcorn statuettes, while the final "Harry Potter" movie took two. What will the "Twilight" fans do when they run out of movies to overpraise? • The Twi-hards also apparently can be credited for boosting "Snow White and the Huntsman," starring Kristen Stewart as the "fairest of them all," to a healthy $56.2 million at the box office this weekend. [Box Office Mojo]

• We said farewell to two familiar TV faces this weekend: Richard Dawson, the affectionate host of "Family Feud" and a co-star on "Hogan's Heroes" before that, died at age 79; and Kathryn Joosten, who won Emmys for her role on "Desperate Housewives" and charmed the White House staff as Pres. Bartlet's secretary, Mrs. Landingham, on "The West Wing," died at age 72. [The Hollywood Reporter; Los Angeles Times]
