Here's a group you might not have expected to show themselves in 2012: Hipsters for Mitt Romney.

The website Brokelyn reports that the national retail chain Urban Outfitters (which has a store in The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City) has a series of Romney-themed T-shirts that are, one presumes, intended to be worn ironically.

One, for example, shows a Republican elephant with the words "Mitt is the S***" (yes, it rhymes). Another has a photoshopped picture of Romney wearing MC Hammer gold pants, with the words "2 Legit 2 Mitt." Another has a photo of Romney photoshopped to add Gene Simmons-style makeup. Still another has the name "Romney" below a drawing of an oven mitt.

These styles are all available online. They are not available at the Salt Lake City store, though an employee there told the Cricket they could be getting them in stock soon.

The Salt Lake City store does have plenty of Barack Obama shirts - most of them more sincere and less ironic than the Romney shirts. The one exception may be this one (pictured above) of Obama in a Tim Tebow pose atop his desk in the Oval Office.
