A 2-year-old girl has died, bringing to four the death toll of a head-on weekend crash near Deer Creek Reservoir.

Utah Highway Patrol Corporal Todd Johnson said the toddler was the granddaughter of Kathleen Draper and Val Draper, both 63, who died from injuries in the 2 p.m. Sunday crash on U.S. Highway 189 near Walsburg. The girl died Monday at Primary Children’s Medical Center. Her name was not immediately released.

Kathleen Draper was driving a northbound Nissan Altima that veered into the southbound lanes and collided with a Subaru. Draper and her husband were killed in the crash, and their granddaughter and a 12-year-old granddaughter were critically injured. The 12-year-old was upgraded to serious condition Tuesday, UHP said.

A 25-year-old female passenger in the Subaru was pregnant and lost her unborn child to the crash. The 24-year-old male driver of the Subaru and a 3-year-old passenger suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, UHP said.

Troopers said speed, drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash.
