San Antonio — Notes following Spurs practice Monday at the team workout facility.

San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said reserve center Tiago Splitter (sprained left wrist) is wearing a cast and likely doubtful for Game 2 Wednesday against the Jazz.

Popovich said he'll continue to start Boris Diaw at power forward, teaming him with Tim Duncan in the post.

Guard Manu Ginobili said San Antonio's primary Game 2 adjustment will be stopping the Jazz's transition offense. Utah scored 23 fast-break points and stayed in the contest during the first half by consistently going to the free-throw line. The Jazz were 23 of 30 from the stripe, with Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks — a combined 16 of 17 — initially punishing the Spurs in transition.

Spurs forward Stephen Jackson and Ginobili said the Jazz were ready to play Game 1. However, Jackson acknowledged Utah could've used better production from starting point guard Devin Harris.
