A helicopter on Sunday rescued six teenagers stranded on cliffs overnight in Millard County.

No injuries were reported. The boys were from Richfield and between the ages of 13 and 17.

They went camping Saturday in the Maple Grove area near the town of Scipio. The Millard County Sheriff's Office said the boys began a hike into the mountains above the campground. When they attempted to return to the campground, the teenagers got trapped in the ledges.

The boys were able to use a cellphone to call for help. The sheriff's office responded, but due to darkness and the ability of the teens to light a fire, the rescue was postponed to Sunday morning. Deputy Corey Anderson spoke with the teenagers every hour throughout the night, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

About 9:30 a.m. the Utah Highway Patrol helicopter crew located the teenagers and flew them back to camp.
