Experimenting with Storify

I'm at work on a Saturday, so I thought I'd try out a new reporting tool. Storify pulls quotes, posts and opinions from social media, including Twitter, YouTube, Facebook etc. and puts them all together in an easy-to-read format.

Social media can be powerful a communicator for journalists and everyone else, but information posted online is often a little ephemeral, disappearing as soon as the story is over, and the sheer volume of stuff out there can be overwhelming. Storify is a great way to distill it down and preserve those thoughts in an easy-to-read way.

Warren Jeffs' recent message from God to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has gotten a decent amount of coverage and reaction (read my story here), so I thought it might be a good story to experiment with. I tried to pull a combination of news stories and reaction.

Check out the Storify here, and let me know what you think!
