A saxophone player who toured with The Killers has been found dead in his Las Vegas home.

The Clark County coroner's office confirmed to AP that Thomas Christian Marth, 33, was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound to the head on Monday. Las Vegas Weekly reports the cause of death was officially said to be suicide.

A tweet from the band's official Twitter account earlier this week announced Marth's passing, saying the band's prayers are with his family. "There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy."

Marth, a Las Vegas native, was featured on the Killers' sophomore record Sam's Town and 2008's Day and Age.

Lead singer Brandon Flowers grew up in Utah, and drummer Ronnie Vannucci, Jr. lives in Park City.
