Class 5A

1. Weber • The lone unbeaten squad in Class 5A after blanking Layton

2. Bingham • Couldn't top the hot pitching of Bear River at home

3. Alta • Routed Cottonwood, but matchup with Copper Hills got rained out

4. Riverton • Couldn't close out Roy with a three-run lead

5. Hunter • Tess Matagi's homer was the difference against Kearns

Class 4A

1. Roy • Win against Silverwolves showed some resiliency by Royals

2. Maple Mountain • Simply lights-out against Region 8 teams so far

3. Salem Hills • Returns to action this week after a long break

4. Murray • Beat a strong Syracuse team, but has a lot of work ahead in region

5. Box Elder • Looking for revenge against Mountain Crest this week

Class 3A

1. Spanish Fork • Has allowed only one run in all of region play so far

2. Bear River • Suffered a letdown against Tooele after knocking off Bingham

3. Wasatch • Wasps' run production helps obscure an average defense

4. Canyon View • Had a tough time keeping up with hard-hitting Cedar

5. Tooele • Four shutouts in past five games, including against the Bears

Class 2A

1. Enterprise • With a run of five straight shutouts, looking unbeatable

2. San Juan • Hit the socks off Emery with five home runs

3. Parowan • Uneven week: Rolled by Richfield, but edged Millard

4. Emery • Second in Region 15, but only the fourth-best region offense

5. South Summit • Shannon Argyle and company should be ready to go
