To you, the Great Salt Lake might just be a big, smelly lake on the way to Tooele or Wendover.
To countless birds such as the American White Pelican, Great blue Heron, Double-crested cormorants, California sea gulls and Sanderlings, however, the salty inland sea is a familiar first or second home.
You can learn all about these birds, and their special adaptive qualities of life on the Great Salt Lake shore, on Wednesday as part of the Ogden Nature Center’s “Wild Wednesday” classes. All ages of bird lovers are welcome to meet in the center’s visitor section prior to this afternoon class.
