Warm temperatures to give way to wintry weekend

Temperatures should remain high statewide for another couple of days before a wintery weekend.

Wednesday was expected to be another breezy, warm day, with high temperatures along the Wasatch Front ranging from 60 in drizzly Brigham City to 65 in partly-sunny Spanish Fork, according to forecasts by the National Weather Service.

In southern Utah, highs were forecast to reach 70 in sunny St. George, 60 in Cedar City and 73 in Moab.

Showers are expected to arrive in far northern Utah today, with rain to arrive Friday along the Wasatch front, turning to snow Saturday night and Sunday.

Southern Utah could see rain and snow Saturday and Sunday.
