Golden State's acquisition Tuesday of former Milwaukee center Andrew Bogut could affect the Jazz's standing in the 2012 NBA Draft.
The Warriors picked up Stephen Jackson and Bogut, an ex-Utah Utes standout, while sending Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown to the Bucks.
Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the trade.
Golden State holds a 2012 lottery pick that could belong to the Jazz. The selection is protected, though, and will remain the Warriors' if the long-struggling team finishes 24th out of 30 teams or worse during the 2011-12 season.
Entering Tuesday, Golden State was ranked 25th. But Bogut is injured, Ellis was the Warriors' average leading scorer, and Jackson fell out of favor in Milwuakee.
