A Cottonwood Heights woman is suing a man for allegedly charging her with his horse.

The personal injury lawsuit filed in 3rd District Court states that in December 2010 the woman was walking her dogs at Dimple Dell Park, near 9800 South and 3100 East in Sandy, when she encountered the man riding his horse.

The 30-year-old man was “inappropriately touching himself in a sexual manner,” the lawsuit states, and the woman told him to stop because sometimes there were children in the area.

The man became embarrassed and-or angry and began to have his horse charge her several times in an attempt to scare her, the lawsuit says.

But at one point he was not able to stop the horse in time before it struck her and knocked her to the ground, the lawsuit claims.

The woman, 56, allegedly suffered injuries to the right side of her body including her shoulder, hip, neck and chest.

The woman is seeking an unspecified amount in damages to be determined at trial.
