Now the Herriman Mustangs get a crack at a top seed.

After stunning Logan with a dramatic buzzer-beater in the first round of the Class 4-A boys basketball tournament for their first-ever playoff win, the Mustangs will take on Bountiful in the quarterfinals of the tournament at the Maverik Center in West Valley City.

The game starts at 2:15 p.m., leading off a day full of hoops action.

Skyline and Orem meet in the next quarterfinal at about 4, followed by Olympus and East at 5:30 and Provo against Mountain Crest at 7:15.

But the Mustangs are the talk of the tournament so far, after Jared Rasmussen buried a game-winning three-pointer as time expired in the first round. It was the first playoff victory in the first playoff game ever for the school, which is in just its second season since being established.

"I told them, 'It's our second year — we don't want to be the team that's just happy to make the playoffs," coach Brad Tingey said. "'We want to do some damage.' And they kept to our theme all year: Just keep playing."
