Hey, hepcats, everything will be copacetic in Salt Lake City when BYU’s Synthesis big band plays the Infinity Events Center on Valentine’s Day.

Music to Match the Mountains is a blast from the past as the 20-piece band out of Provo will perform the swing classics of Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington and other legends of the Big Band era. Synthesis is led by Ray Smith, recording artist, band leader and educator, who is known as a gifted performer in his own right.

The evening includes a buffet catered by Tom Catrow at 7 p.m., followed by dancing from 8-10 p.m.

Tickets are $45 per person, and include the dinner and the dancing.
