About 2,000 Utahns who are homeless or might normally go hungry will be treated to a venison dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 8, thanks to the Hunt.Fish.Feed program.
Scott Leysath, better known as “The Sporting Chef,” will be preparing and serving a dinner of venison tacos from 5 to 6 p.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall operated by Catholic Community Services.
Leysath is an expert on preparing fish and game and is the author of two wild game cookbooks. While in Salt Lake he will be using 600 pounds of venison donated by local sportsman through the Mule Deer Foundation.
