Jesus paid a quick visit to Tim Tebow on "
Saturday Night Live" last weekend for a little tutorial with the quarterback and his teammates in Denver's locker room.
The Christian savior took credit for the Broncos' last six wins, but suggested the team meet him halfway.
“It's not a good week if I have to drop everything and bail you out in the fourth quarter,” he told the team. “Seriously, I'm doing all the work here.”
Jesus (Jason Sudeikis) urged Tebow (Taran Killam) to “stretch” and “read the playbook” before games. He said he couldn't be around for the next game against the Patriots (which Denver lost) because he had “a big birthday coming up.”
He knew it would be hard to get him a present because, hey, “what do you give a guy who sacrificed everything?”
The Son of God's last advice for the evangelical Tebow?
“Tim, I love you. Just take it down a notch,” Jesus said. “By the way, Mormonism. All true. Every single word.”
