In the midst of doing a big profile on quarterback Adam Kennedy, which should be in the Tribune at some point this week, his comments on his wideout Matt Austin really stuck out.

On the field, the two have formed a very nice alliance, with Kennedy throwing the ball to a spot and trusting Austin, a junior to make plays on the defensive back and come up with a catch.

It's worked very well, so far. Through four games, the two have memorable moments. Kennedy hit Austin for the winning touchdown against San Jose State. He hit Austin for a very important touchdown against Nevada last Saturday. The two seem to know what the other is going to do, and it's turned into some very big plays for the Aggies.

"With Matt, things just kind of developed," Kennedy said. "We connected and became friends right away. I have all the trust in the world in Matt because of the kind of player that he is. You can just throw him the ball and let him do his thing. He's made plays vertically and he's just a great player."
