Welcome to our weekly predictions for the Pac-12 Conference - where the predictions get worse as the season goes along.

Washington at Oregon State (+2), 1:30 p.m. - Who will quarterback the Huskies? Who cares? They have running back Chris Polk, who should be able to ravage an awful OSU run defense. Washington 31, Oregon State 17.

Utah at Washington State (+3 1/2), 3 p.m. - Winter weather might work against the Sun Devils, but the Utes have a defense and game plan that's built for harsh conditions. The Wazzu bowl hopes end here. Utah 24, Washington State 20.

Colorado at UCLA (-10 1/2), 5:30 p.m. - Quarterback Tyler Hansen guaranteed his Buffs will end their 23-game road losing streak against the team for which his coach's son plays. Weird? Yeah, and totally wrong. UCLA 29, Colorado 17.

No. 18 USC at No. 4 Oregon (-14), 6 p.m. - Oh sure, the Trojans have one of the nation's best run defenses. Anybody remember the last time the Ducks encountered one of those? Oregon 42, USC 31.

Arizona at Arizona State (-11 1/2), 7:30 p.m. - Just because it's a rivalry game doesn't make the Wildcats any better, and the Sun Devils need this to hold out hope of reaching the title game. Arizona State 31, Arizona 17.

Cal at No. 8 Stanford (-17 1/2), 8:15 p.m. - The Big Game? If you say so. But the Cardinal are far better, and don't seem likely to suffer a hangover from the Oregon loss, with a rivalry game to focus on. Stanford 37, Cal 17.
