• The Atticus Metal Tour III — with a bill that includes Born of Osiris, Darkest Hour, Sleeping Giant, As Blood Runs Black, and The Human Abstract on one stage, and Norma Jean, Stick To Your Guns, Impending Doom, and Of Legends on the Club on another — happens at In The Venue/Club Sound, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. • Sexy hard-rock band Saving Abel plays The Complex, 536 W. 100 South, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $20, at TicketCake.

• British soul/jazz/funk/rock quartet The New Mastersounds (pictured) plays at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening act: Fox Street All Stars. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door, at the State Room website.
